ELENA est une cohorte prospective et multicentrique dans laquelle sont suivis 900 enfants de moins de 16 ans ayant un diagnostic de trouble du spectre de l’autisme.
Les trajectoires évolutives dans l’autisme sont variées. On dispose toutefois de peu de connaissances pour expliquer ces différences d’évolution. ELENA est une cohorte prospective et multicentrique dans laquelle sont suivis 900 enfants de moins de 16 ans ayant un diagnostic de trouble du spectre de l’autisme (TSA) recrutés à partir de centres spécialisés répartis dans 9 régions françaises. Le suivi prévu durant 6 années s’achèvera en 2025.
L’objectif est d’étudier les trajectoires évolutives de ces enfants et d’en explorer les déterminants grâce à un recueil de données large portant sur des variables cliniques, psychologiques, sociales, biologiques et environnementales.
